I am unable to leave a comment on your Avery article. It does not go to the comment section.

If possible I would just like to respond to Max’s post. Also, I appreciate that you thought I should make a post on my grandfather’s story. Thank you.

I’m sorry but I’m enough of a throwback to the sixties that I want comments to be reasonably mellow. Comments are closed for the Avery post.

You should tell your grandfather’s story 1) if you want to; and 2)if your family feels right about it. I like the idea of a wrongly accused cop rather a wrongly accused civilian.

        Thank you Patrick,

While I have no idea what your comment about throwback to the sixties refers to, its your blog and I certainly respect your decision.
Most of the family members aware of this story have passed, except for a couple of siblings. I brought it up mainly to point out that I am by no means unsympathetic and fully understand that people can be wrongly accused, and pay a terrible price, even after they are long dead.
Human nature is what it is.
