is a very cool website that reviews newly-penned crime thrillers and publishes guest posts by crime writers on various topics concerning the gentle art of crime writing. ThrillerInk asked Patrick H. Moore of All Things Crime Blog to write a guest post which is appearing on their website today, 6-6-2013.

tattoPatrick’s guest post is entitled “How I became a Crime Writer (or How Crime Writing Came to Me)”. It begins like this:

I’m racing across the high Nevada desert with my sweetheart and our adopted daughter  in a rented Dodge Neon. The kid wants a Pepsi, we pull into a rest stop amidst the rock and sun and endless azure sky. We hit the vending machines, come back to the car and see the keys are locked inside, still stuck in the ignition. No help – so far from civilization that even the cell phones don’t work.

I smash the driver’s window with a rock, the glass explodes, and we’re off and running.
